Do you love watching movies? Does it seem like film critics never pick movies that you actually like? Are random amateur critics on the interwebs even worse? Are your friends movie picks a lot better? Goodfil.ms is a social movie rating website where you can rate and review movies and get recommendations based on your friends’ ratings. According to Goodfilms:
Goodfilms is a site for you to rate, review, and share your movie experiences, and while doing so find new films (or rediscover old ones) for you to watch. We’ve built the site based around two fundamental ideas: that films are social, and that existing rating systems are broken… The best way to find movies is through the people you know. We’ve designed Goodfilms from the ground up to show you what your existing friends are watching and rating, and to focus on showing you what the people around you think about films instead of a random grab bag of “internet voters” or highly specialised critics.
Films can be browsed by year. Goodfilms’ rating system allows you to give movies two separate ratings, critical quality and rewatchability, which results in films falling into four zones: “Good, Good”, “Enjoyably Bad”, “Difficult, Great”, and “Zone of Crap.” Goodfilms also has a blog.
